"Star Trek - Starship Spotter" from Pocket Books is in the stores.  This Star Trek technical reference book combines computer-generated renderings by Robert Bonchune and Adam 'Mojo' Lebowitz at Foundation Imaging, along with vessel specifications and construction histories by Jonathan Lane and our own Alex Rosenzweig.  This text will beautifully and accurately depict dozens of vessels of the Star Trek universe, while providing informative technical data on these famous ships.  Please note that FEDERATION FRONTIERS is in no way affiliated with "Star Trek - Starship Spotter", Pocket Books or Foundation Imaging.  Buy the book anyway!

AVENGER / MIRANDA CLASS STARSHIP GENERAL PLANS by Mike Rupprecht

We are also offering the BEST set of deck-by-deck starship blueprints ever produced by Star Trek fandom, laid out and drafted by Mike Rupprecht and edited by Alex Rosenzweig.  These plans were four years in the making and represent the internal workings of the U.S.S. Reliant-type starship seen in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.

FF05) Avenger-class Heavy Frigate General Plans - $15.00

Cover Envelope

Sample of Package

This 20-sheet package contains 6 external views, 4 cross-section views, plan views of all 11 decks and 7 full-sheet detail drawings of the ship's vital support systems.  Also included are a concise Construction History, detailed Ship's Directory, glossary of featured equipment and a mountable Dedication Plaque Insert.

FF06) Miranda-class Cruiser General Plans - $15.00

Cover Envelope

Sample of Package

We have also created a sister set of drawings to the set for the Avenger-class plans.  Although Star Trek fandom established the Reliant-type vessel as an Avenger-class Heavy Frigate (NCC-1860) way back in 1983, some have accepted, the newer Paramount classification of Miranda-class Cruiser.  This set of plans is basically the same, with a different nomenclature.

For more information on these packages, feel free to contact Mike Rupprecht at MRupprecht@aol.com.  Moreover, for a detailed preview of these two products, please visit our SISTER SITE specifically devoted to it...

Alex has been involved with Star Trek fandom for over 25 years.  He is a high-ranking member of STARFLEET (the International Star Trek Fan Association), and heads it's Department of Technical Services.  He has recently been hired by Pocket Books as writing contributor for their upcoming  release "Star Trek - Starship Spotter".  He was also part of an online team for Pocket Books, that wrote a timeline for "Star Trek: Adventures in Time and Space", a book about the last 20 years of Star Trek novel publishing.  Alex was selected to be involved in both these projects because of his unrivaled attention to detail and vast knowledge of the Star Trek Universe.

Michael C. Rupprecht (Starship Layout Engineer)

Mike has been drawing starships with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) for over 20 years.  He worked closely with Alex to create the Avenger-Class Heavy Frigate General Plans, and then it's sister set for the Miranda-Class Cruiser.  His work has been praised by such Star Trek insiders as Mike Okuda, Shane Johnson and even Andrew Probert, the designer of the refit U.S.S. Enterprise from Star Trek: The Motion Picture and the U.S.S. Enterprise-D from Star Trek: The Next Generation.  In the fall of 2000, he was invited along with Alex Rosenzweig by the staff at Foundation Imaging to visit their facility in Valencia, CA.  There he received a private viewing and inspection of the eight-foot filming model of the movie-era U.S.S. Enterprise in preparation for his upcoming work.
